July 16th: Our babies @ 2 weeks old!

We put them in some cute outfits that Grandma C gave them and took some great pictures! In the ones of just the girls Claire is always on the left and Lacy is always on the right. Looking back at these pictures I cant believe how much they have changed! I am working on getting the blog up to date so you all can see the changes as well!
Cute hands and feet!

More adorable pictures: July 6th-11th 2008

The girls had to be in the NICU for about a week and a half...it was one of the hardest times for both John and I. We were driving back and forth to the hospital to feed the girls and after every visit it was so hard to leave. But now I know that if I made it through that I can make it through almost anything.

The 11th: We went for the evening feeding and the girls were out of their incubator and cute as can be in their bed! (Lacy & Claire)

The 11th: Between the morning feeding and the evening one Mom and I went to Mi Ranchito and got some lunch...I saw outside the restaurant these 2 flowers...and they reminded me of my 2 sweet baby girls so I just had to get a picture of them!

The 11th: Happy little Lacy

The 11th: Sweet little Claire

The 11th: Claire found that Lacy's head was the perfect hand rest!

A little info & More Pictures from July 2nd 2008

On July 1st I had an appointment for an amniocentesis (spelled to the best of my ability) to see if the twins lungs were developed. We got the results almost immediately that their lungs looked great and they sent me home and told me to wait for a call from my doc! So we did and they called a few hours later and said that we had a c-section scheduled for 7:30 am the next day! We were completely in shock...I kept saying to John "we are going to have kids tomorrow!" We knew that the day would come we just didn't think it was coming so soon!
The reason they didn't keep the girls in for longer is because they were and had been very concerned for my high risk for pre-eclampsia....So we are very happy to announce the birth of our beautiful twin baby girls on July 2nd 2008!

My sweet sweet hubby brought me these two beautiful flowers for me after we had our baby girls...he is so thoughtful and the best hubby in the world! He said "two flowers for our two baby girls!" I love you John.
